Beyond the Games

Opportunities in the sports industry are ever expanding beyond events and entertainment into entrepreneurial ventures. Former pro athletes and industry professionals have begun to take the initiative to expand their more traditional professional efforts to new and varied spheres of sports. This panel will explore some of the exciting pursuits that have been undertaken by several leading sports professionals in such fields as community, development, licensing, and more. Discussion will include suggestions of how to break into a new sports venture or get involved with one, both during or upon completing an MBA program as well as what skills new sports ventures will look for when hiring.
