Panel Time: 11:15AM - 12:15PM
All sectors of the media industry are changing rapidly at present. The emergence of new content distribution methods and technologies, shifts in the competitive landscape, and an increased focus on cost controls due to a difficult (though improving) environment have all contributed to the industry's current state of change. This panel will aim to address the effects of these changes on the role of M&E; Business Development professionals. Is there increasing importance placed on strategic partnerships as a method of dealing with industry developments? Are there specific skills that are in high demand (negotiating, quantitative, marketing, etc.)? How can MBAs better prepare for and attain such roles?
