Sowmya Gottipati
Vice President of Media Labs, NBCUniversal

Sowmya Gottipati is Vice President of Media Labs, Innovation arm of NBCUniversal. Sowmya drives technology innovation and help deliver business solutions enabled by emerging technologies with particular emphasis on developing new business models for NBCUniversal. She leads pilot and incubation programs in collaboration with start-up and venture capital community, academic research groups and technology professionals from the worlds of application and content strategy, mobile development, distribution, video, and consumer-experience technologies. She is also the Co-Chair for one of the TechWomen Chapters at NBCUniversal.
Previously, Sowmya served as a technology leader at AT&T where she managed and delivered products to the market that are currently bringing $3B+ in revenues. She has more than 19 years of hands-on experience in technology strategy and product innovation, product development, product and program management, and financial management. Sowmya holds a MS degree in Engineering from N.C. State University and MBA from Columbia Business School. She is an aviation enthusiast and holds a private pilot license.
